Dyneema Light Rope From English Braids
These ultra-light Dyneema Light sheet ropes have full performance Dyneema treated cores with a light multifilament high tenacity polypropylene cover. by using PP instead of Polyester for the cover these ropes soak up less water and float that little bit better making them ideal for dinghy sheets. Laser sailors in particular like the 7mm diameter as it runs through the blocks that little bit easier than standard 8mm does.
Light foresail sheets provide outstanding upwind performance in light airs by low sheet rope weight reducing sail flattening. This rope has the ability to be tapered down also to form a race taper sheet.
Dyneema SK78 is used as the standard core within the Dyneema Light. This is then covered to provide a smooth rope with a high breaking loads that floats and does not pick up water.
